Women’s Life Fellowship
Women’s Life Fellowship met Tuesday, February 21. Harriette Murphy provide devotions and Belinda Yates and Vicky Gray had delicious refreshments.
Carolyn Spivey presented an interesting program based on the current material she is using in the Willing Workers Sunday school class. Women of the Bible provides insight into the lives of the women we are introduced to in the Bible. As she shared it became move evident that even though we are many miles and years apart, we have similar thoughts and actions. We have requested that Carolyn continue the series as programs for the next few months. If you are interested in a focused study of the Women of the Bible, please see Carolyn.
Women’s Life voted to purchase beverage dispensers for the fellowship hall. We will purchase three containers for our congregational meals (sweet tea, unsweet tea, and water). We also voted to assist the Achievers Team at Lexington Middle School with their goal of sending 75 students to our nation’s capital.
We will prepare a special bulletin, to be distributed on Mother’s Day, titled, A Tribute to the Women in our Life. This is a fundraiser to help support Women’s Life projects. There will be a $5.00 charge to place a brief tribute to a mother, sister, aunt, friend, teacher, any woman who has meant something special to you. Please watch for details!
Next meeting is March 12th when we will serve the shelter and return to the parlor for our regular meeting. Note the date change.
