Christmas Service 11 a.m. in Sanctuary, Dec. 20th, Followed by Covered Dish Meal

Christmas Card 2014 (1)First Reformed UCC’s Christmas Service, Dec. 20th at 11 a.m.

First Reformed United Church of Christ will present “A Christmas Service of Nine Lessons and Carols” in the sanctuary during the worship hour on Sunday, December 20th.

Produced by Cathy Waitman, First Reformed UCC’s Director of Christian Education, the tableau style service features 35 youth and adult church members along with various hymns, solos and scripture readings.  Narration will be provided by First Reformed UCC’s Rev. Elizabeth Parker Horton, and directing is Rev. June Grubb, minister of pastoral care for First Reformed UCC.

The service begins with Lighting of Advent Candles, followed by The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols as well as the Presentation of White Gifts. During the offering, members will bring forth their gifts wrapped in white paper for clients of Crisis Ministry.  The church is located at 104 East Center Street, Lexington, and the public is invited.
