If you missed the first session of the Lenten Bible study that began Sunday, Feb. 14th, don’t worry. We have a study booklet that will fill you in without missing a beat.
Rev. Elizabeth Parker Horton welcomed over 50 people to the first Lenten study session Sunday, where she led an interactive exploration of how faith is a journey, not a destination. The DVD-based series allows us to explore ideas and viewpoints of many diverse pastors and theologians across the U.S. to help us think deeply and more creatively about the mysteries of faith and life.
Please join us Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for the second “Living the Questions” session beginning promptly at 9:45 a.m. This allows plenty of interesting, reactive conversation time. Thanks to Aurelia Smith for providing the delicious doughnut holes we enjoyed with our hot coffee.
The remaining sessions focus on:
Feb. 21: Taking the Bible Seriously, but not Always Literally
Feb. 28: Think Theologically = Get Comfortable w/Ambiguity
March 6: Looking at Both Creation Stories
March 13: Exploring the Lives of Jesus
March 20: A Passion for Christ: Paul
