Sunday, January 22nd was an important day in the life of First Reformed UCC. At 4 p.m., Rev. Elizabeth Parker Horton was formally installed as the church’s eighth pastor. Approximately 30 visiting ministers as well as about 150 church members and friends took part in the service. Church children proudy entered the sanctuary holding high their colorful, biodegradable balloons, and they enjoyed releasing them in the church yard after the service. Following the installation, everyone enjoyed a delicious reception in the Fellowship Hall where Elizabeth was congratulated by those who had come from both near and far to take part in her special day.
