Rev. Elizabeth Parker Horton will be formally installed as pastor of First Reformed UCC in Lexington at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22. Rev. Beth Kennett, a UCC minister from the Center for Congregational Health, will bring the message and the charge for Pastor Elizabeth and the congregation. The installation acknowledges the relationships between the pastor, congregation and the United Church of Christ.
After serving as a supply minister, Horton was named as First Reformed UCC’s designated pastor on Oct. 1, 2015. On June 26, 2016, a unanimous “yes” vote by the congregation formally “called” Rev. Horton as the installed pastor, and she accepted. She is the 8th minister to lead First Reformed UCC. Everyone is invited. Clergy and spouses are invited to process in together. Wear any stole of your choosing. A reception in the Fellowship Hall will follow.
