———————— Looking toward Sunday
A Message From Rev. Horton Jackie Mock completed her first week as Church Administrator. I hope you will have a chance to meet her soon.   Paula and Carolyn have been phenomenal in making a smooth transition for her and for the church.
Check us out on Davidson Local. Each Saturday is an article about the ministries of First Reformed UCC. Thanks to Patti Lovell and Frankie Hedrick for coordinating this effort so that the community can be a part of the mission and ministries of First Reformed.
This Sunday we celebrate Mother’s Day. This is one of those tender days that carries so many fragile tensions as we think about mothers and what motherhood means: Joy and grief, gratitude and bitterness, abundance and loss.
Children lost, mothers passed, opportunities missed… a tender day indeed I hope that wherever you find yourselves emotionally on Sunday, you will come worship. We will be together as Gods family. Rev. Evan will preach from a beautiful passage in Isaiah that holds us all in gentleness and strength.
