A MESSAGE FROM REV. HORTON:
Dear Beloved Community,

Join us in worship this week for our final sermon in the series from the Book of James:  A Faith That Works for Today and Tomorrow.

James is no nonsense and practical for today. Faith is not just what we profess, what we believe, or what we proclaim.  Faith is not radically personal nor private.  Faith is active…Faith is doing, caring for the weak and vulnerable, doing what Jesus commands, controlling our cravings, speaking gently, taming our tongues.

A faith that works for today and tomorrow calls us into community.  We are in this life Together. Period. No matter if you are coming to the sanctuary or participating online. A Community of Faith prays for each other and with each other.

We will ask a Blessing for over 22 Prayer Shawls!  This Prayer Shawl Ministry is one tangible way to truly live out our faith.  Thanks to Harriette Murphy, Lena Johnson, and Geri Hill for creating such beautiful expressions of care!

One update in our Children’s Ministry for Sunday: Children’s Church will be for Pre-K thru 6th graders, led by Rev. Evan.

Hope to see you Sunday. Remember always, you are not alone.

Elizabeth
