Sunday’s Sermon A Work In Progress:Letting GoRev. Elizabeth HortonScripture Reading:Jeremiah 32: 1-3a, 6-15
A Message FromRev. Elizabeth Horton
Dear Beloved Community,Thank you for writing words of encouragement during last Sunday’s worship service to the teachers at our neighborhood school, Charles England Elementary!  Your words were filled with kindness, humor, and most of all God’s blessings. We paired the notes with some sweet and salty treats leftover from Big Board Sunday, and delivered the goodies Thursday afternoon. Here’s a few pictures:
[Notes with Treat][Thank You][Note]
On Sunday, we say Farewell to Chris Kiser. He has been our organist/pianist since March 2021. Chris is a phenomenal musician, highly motivated, and extremely gifted. He has elevated our worship services through his tremendous talents. His time here has indeed brought glory to God and helped us worship in ways we didn’t know were possible.   While we are extremely sad to see him leave, we fully support Chris’ decision to go where God calls.  He will be taking the position as Director of Music Ministries at Forest Hill Presbyterian in High Point. We have been incredibly blessed by Chris’ time with us. We’ll have a time for blessing Chris in the worship service.Let us remember:We will trust in the God who is our help in ages past, and our hope for years to come. Indeed, we are a work in progress. In grace, hope, and loveElizabeth
