Upcoming Events for 4-9-18 thru 4-15-18

What a glorious Easter Sunday we shared! Thank you to those who put up the Magnificent Cross of Lilies!
This Sunday we continue in the season of Easter. Easter Season is a time of celebrating all the ways in which resurrection is possible in our lives. What holds us back from the joy of life? What binds us, keeping us from the fullness of who God created us to be? What keeps us down?
We will explore John 20: 19-31. It’s about the disciple that has been nicknamed “Doubting Thomas.” It’s the 2nd in the Sermon Series “Life Resurrected: Raised from Doubt.” When it comes to faith, what are your doubts? What are the questions you have when you think about God and how God moves in this world? Jesus took Thomas’ question seriously. I encourage you to bring your questions with you to worship on Sunday.

The Still Speaking Class begins a new series this Sunday, “Nooma” by Rob Bell. These are short videos that seek to inspire discussion. No preparation needed. If you are not in a Sunday School class, I invite you to come.

THE GIRL SCOUT YARD SALE DATE HAS CHANGED! Because of the threat of rain tomorrow, the sale is now scheduled for NEXT SATURDAY, APRIL 14. If it’s SUNNY it will be held in the grassy area in front of the playground. If it’s RAINY, the sale will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

In the midst of theological reflection and activity, students will have the opportunity to discover God in new ways, especially as incarnational and interactive; discover who they are as children of God; discover how to live out their faith; and discover what they are called to do vocationally.
