Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl/Blanket Ministry sews lap-size blankets or shawls for those experiencing illnesses, difficult times, youth going off to college, newborns, baptisms, and weddings.  Prayers are offered for recipients as the blankets are constructed. This has become a fast-growing ministry of First Reformed United Church of Christ.  Church members continue to share names of loved ones, associates, acquaintances, locals, out-of-town, out-of-state, etc. individuals who need a hug that can be shared through a shawl or blanket that was pieced together…
