Upcoming Events Please join us on April 9th for the annual Community Palm Sunday Celebration on the Square. Reverend Horton will participate. Ushers will pass out programs for the service and palm fronds. A delicious lunch will be served at the J. Smith Young YMCA. Church to offer labyrinth walks April 11-16 A labyrinth looks like a maze, but it is not. Some find it a meditation tool, or walk it simply for the peace and serenity that comes from being alone and contemplating a problem or issue. Rev. Elizabeth Parker Horton Installed as Eighth Minister at First Reformed UCC

Sunday, January 22nd was an important day in the life of First Reformed UCC. At 4 p.m., Rev. Elizabeth Parker Horton was formally installed as the church’s eighth pastor. Approximately 30 visiting ministers as well as about 150 church members and friends took part in the service. Church children proudy entered the sanctuary holding high their colorful, biodegradable balloons, and they enjoyed releasing them in the church yard after the service.
