Labyrinth Walks April 11-16

Church to offer labyrinth walks April 11-16

A labyrinth looks like a maze, but it is not. Some find it a meditation tool, or walk it simply for the peace and serenity that comes from being alone and contemplating a problem or issue. The most famous labyrinth is located on the floor of Chartres Cathedral in France, which dates to the 13th century.
Hours to walk the labyrinth are April 11 and April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. On Maundy Thursday, April 13, the hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; April 14 are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and 5 to 8 p.m. The final day to walk the labyrinth is April 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those who wish to walk the labyrinth should come to the fellowship hall entrance behind the church’s education building at 104 E. Center St., where the Rev. Elizabeth Parker Horton is pastor. For more information, call the church office at (336) 248-2617 or email church@frucc.org.
