We will hear the parable of the Prodigal Son. Because this is such a familiar story, our challenge is to hear the scripture with fresh ears. Please read this passage prior to Sunday  Luke:15:1-32.  Who are you in this parable? Where are you in the story Jesus tells? We’ll explore together what God is saying to us, in the sermon, Reconnecting to our Roots.

It’s the 3rd Sunday of Lent, we are in our worship series “Busy: Reconnecting with an Unhurried God.” Scripture is from Luke:13:1-9.  Why do we think the grass always greener on the other side?  We’ll explore what Jesus says about this in our sermon, “Reconnecting to Reality.”

What are the burdens you bear this Lent that need to be put down and released? During worship, we will continue to seek to make room and Connect With An Unhurried God.  In the gospel lesson, Jesus is making his way to Jerusalem and nothing will thwart his determination…Not even threats on his life.  When you are faced with decisions, what helps keep you determined? Let us journey together. ……

In the scripture, Luke 4: 1-13 , Instead of thinking what we will give up this Lent, we will think about how to make room, clear out, and slow down in the midst of the frenetic pace of life. ……..
