As we try to decide whether or not to move the picnic location for Sunday,
I am reminded of the Old Testament Book of Job, when Job demands that his questions be answered by God. God turns the tables and responds to Job’s demands in the 38th chapter by asking him these questions:
“Can you lift up your voice to the clouds,
so that a flood of waters may cover you?
Can you send forth lightnings, so that they may go
and say to you, ‘Here we are’?
Who has the wisdom to number the clouds?
Or who can tilt the waterskins of the heavens,
when the dust runs into a mass
and the clods cling together?”
The answer for Job and for us is No. We cannot know when the ‘waterskins of the heavens’ will be tilted!
With that said, please be flexible and on the lookout in email and Facebook about the location of the worship and picnic (either Wildcat or Fellowship Hall). Regardless of location, worship and menu will be the same as planned.
Job 12: 7-10.
