Reconnecting to Our Roots

We will hear the parable of the Prodigal Son. Because this is such a familiar story, our challenge is to hear the scripture with fresh ears. Please read this passage prior to Sunday  Luke:15:1-32.  Who are you in this parable? Where are you in the story Jesus tells? We’ll explore together what God is saying to us, in the sermon, Reconnecting to our Roots.

Reconnecting to Reality

It’s the 3rd Sunday of Lent, we are in our worship series “Busy: Reconnecting with an Unhurried God.” Scripture is from Luke:13:1-9.  Why do we think the grass always greener on the other side?  We’ll explore what Jesus says about this in our sermon, “Reconnecting to Reality.”

To say they are hesitant to follow is an understatement. The “What If’s” begin to take…

“Living in the Light: The Sermon Nobody Wanted to Hear”

Have you ever heard God speaking, but you just didn’t want to listen? Have you tried to push away people who, in looking back, you now realize have been the presence of Christ in your life? Sometimes God speaks and we do everything within our power to shut out the Still Small Voice. The sermon comes from Luke 4: 21-30. Then he began to say to them, “Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.——–

“Living in the Light: A Sermon in a Sentence.”

Can you craft a sentence that reflects the meaning of your life? Come hear the sentence Jesus chooses in Luke 4: 14-21 “Then Jesus, filled with the power of the Spirit, returned to Galilee, and a report about him spread through all the surrounding country.” —Luke 4:14
